Leak Detection Program

Compressed air is the most costly utility in facilities today. This is why the US Department of Energy has required the need to reduce compressed air use and why they issued the Compressed Air Challenge. Sapona has started a compressed air reduction program and has an ultrasonic probe that easily finds air leaks, even in noisy environments. Air leaks are a large contributor to wasted air and inflated energy costs. In a plant where air costs $0.22/MCF based on 100 PSIG running 8,760 hours/year, leaks as small as 1/16" can cost $744/year. If this plant has just 30 such leaks, it is losing in excess of$22,000 per year! What are you waiting for? Couldn't all that wasted money be put to better use?

Our Technical Service Manager will be glad to come to your facility and perform an air leak survey. If you fix the leaks we find, you're sure to save money.
